July 2026 update

Improved Kanban, themes and guest sessions

This dated update groups July development work across GumStory's interface, Kanban boards, test runs, reporting and guest access. It is not presented as a numbered store release.

GumStory product and QA workspace homepage

Light, dark and system themes

GumStory's application theme system now supports light, dark and system preferences. Product screens received a broader interface update so common layouts, controls and information states follow the selected theme more consistently.

The work covers the marketing homepage, About, documentation, pricing, project pages, test cases, test runs and Daily Status Report screens.

More information on Kanban cards

Kanban cards gained a richer work-item presentation. Work-item type, priority and story-point indicators are easier to identify without opening each item.

Mobile Kanban layouts and interactions were also refined for narrower screens.

Clearer test-run results and reports

Test-run result charts were revised to make outcome summaries easier to scan. Daily Status Report presentation was updated alongside the theme work so report content remains readable across supported appearance settings.

More reliable guest sessions

Demo signup prompts were added to help guest users understand when an account is needed. Guest-session creation, recovery and stale-session handling were strengthened.

Session behavior across supported GumStory domains was also refined. This is described at a customer-facing level without exposing security-sensitive implementation details.

Project-list and Jira connection refinements

Project-list behavior and Jira connection presentation were refined. The July work also updated favicon metadata and the product site's marketing badges and recognition displays.

Why this entry has no version number

No trustworthy public GumStory version sequence was available for this entry. The private package version and example release filenames are not evidence of a shipped release, so this page uses a dated development-update format instead.
